  [S101] Connie Spring. wrote: Connie Springs to me John W. Carter is the son of James Carter (the missing one) and Martha Ann McCann. In the 1860 census, Martha has a 9 month unnamed son Did I send you the list of Martha's census records? In the 1870, he is listed with Martha age 10 years. Also note on his marriage record to Betty: Father James T. Carter (dead) and Mother Martha Carter. So apparently James died before 1885 and Martha died after March 29, 1885 (1885 on her tombstone) These Carters do tend to bring on a headache, dont they??? [S101] Connie Spring.
