No record of marriage in ST. Peter's Parish. Speculate that Martha is Drury based on others' research in Scurggs family, but no proof other than name of sons. There was a Drury family in neighboring Parish and also in Nansemond,
spelled same way, but Nansemond's records not yet discovered. By law he would have married in Bride's parish, just have to find it. Unfortunately Nansemond records destroyed in three wars. There was a Drury in Henrico as well, and it could be that they married there, but those records destroyed by Tarleton in Rev. War. These children are listed in St. Peter's parish. There could be others as they moved and records lost or others in another parish. There is no record of death for Richard or Martha in St. Peter's parish.
