    • John Hampton Jr was born on 03 Jun 1683 on Hempfield Plantation, Gloucester County, Virginia. He was the son of John Hampton Sr and Mary Mann. He married Margaret Wade on 01 Jan 1712. According to a 1712 land record his father gave him the Hempfield land. Later he moved to Essex County, Virginia and lived there until 1736. In 1742 he was living in Prince William County, Virginia where he died 18 Jan 1747.
