William Francis4 Brandon (Francis Scott3 Brandon, Jr., Francis Scott2 Brandon, Sr., Francis "B"1 Brandon) was born November 23, 1824 in Bedford Co., TN, and died October 11, 1896 in Calhoun Co., AR-Chamber. He married (1) Martha Drake Mann March 25, 1851 in Cotton Grove, TN, daughter of William Mann and Nancy Drake. He married (2) Mary Ann Patience Hearnsberger August 12, 1852 in Calhoun Co., AR, daughter of Stephen Hearnsberger and Alatha Chaffin. Notes for William Francis Brandon: Began teaching school in 1846. Taught until 1851 and then began the practice of medicine at Plum Bayou, near Pine Bluff. Practiced until 1874. Moved to Hampton, Ar. in 1871 and began farming. He was the oldest of 14 children. In 1860 Census, he reported his occup. as Physician living at Johnsville, Bradley Co.,AR. Notes for Martha Drake Mann: A Martha D. Mann appears on the 1850 Census for Madison Co.,TN and in the household of Benjamin M. Perry and his wife, Mary. This seems to be the Martha D.
