      219. Jacob R., born 1807, 11, 8; died 1838, 10, 24. Married Hannah B., daughter of Isaac and Hannah Stubbs. Hannah, born 1808, 5, 27. Jacob resided, at the time of his death, upon a farm, situated on North-East Creek. He owned a paper and saw-mill and store. When a young man, he made a voyage to Europe, visiting England and Ireland. 220. Rachel H, born 1813, 9 ,30. Married 1836, 2, 25, to Jeremiah B., son of Isaac and Hannah Stubbs. Jeremiah was born 1804, 4, 4, and died suddenly of angina pectoris, 1862, 7, 10. He studied medicine under direction of Dr. Vincent King, of Little Britain, Lancaster county; attended two courses of lectures at the Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, and graduated on the eighth day of March, 1827, at the age of twenty-three.

      He commenced the practice of his profession at Rising Sun, Cecil county, Md., and remained there a period of nine years. While practicing in that State he was elected a member of the Medico-Chirurgical Society of Maryland, under date September 11, 1827.

      Soon after his marriage, in 1836, he returned to Little Britain " having previously purchased the farm of John K. Sappington, M. D. Here be continued the practice of his profession until his decease. On the 14th of February, 1844, he was elected a member of the Lancaster City and County
