Mr. Powell "Pal" Terrell, age 75 of South Hill, died Thursday, August 26, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alleyne Morgan Terrell of the home, one son and daughter-in-law Dr. Charles David Terrell & Michele of Roanoke, two grandchildren, Cory Terrell and Noah Terrell, one sister, Margaret T. Reese of Kinston, NC and a brother & sister-in-law, Dave & Alice Morgan of Henrico, VA. Mr. Terrell was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Haney Terrell, brother, Thad Terrell, Mrs. Pattie Morgan and Charles T. Morgan.
Powell was a 1953 graduate of Kenbridge High School, attended Lynchburg College, University of Richmond and MCV Pharmacy School. He was a member of Kappa Phi and worked in the Petersburg/ Colonial Heights area for more than 39 years.
A celebration of live service will be conducted at 11am Saturday, August 28, 2010 by Rev. Tim Irving at Farrar Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1212 Chalk Level Road, South Hill VA 23970 or W. S.
