She died about 1825 in Bedford Co., Va. They had the following children: + 937 M i Littleberry Carter was born in 1795. He died on 11 Jun 1869. 938 M ii Josiah Jr Carter 1 was born in 1796 in Bedford Co., Va. [Notes] Josiah married Ann Gaddy 1 daughter of Bartholomew Gaddy and Martha Crew on 1 Dec 1817 in Bedford Co., Va. Ann was born in 1796 in Bedford Co., Va. + 939 iii Braxton Carter was born in 1799. He died on 26 Nov 1872. + 940 iv Nancy Carter was born in 1800. + 941 v John D Carter was born in 1802. He died in 1849. The Sarah Carter purported in this source is not the daughter of George Carter and Frances Neale. Dr. Joseph Lyon Miller, who wrote the genealogy of Thomas Carter was misinformed. George is actually Richard the Gunsmith and Frances is not a Neal, but a Walters, d/o William and Susanna Macobee. This statement by Miller, has moved the entire line of Richard the Gunsmith from the Thomas Carter line to the Giles Carter descendants where it belongs.-mfe Further, we do not know if these children are really the children of Josiah and Martha Crew Carter. Further research is underway.
