Born Feb. 7, 1913 in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of Johnnie Namon Reynolds and Lucy Jones Reynolds. She was married Dec. 6, 1932, to Perry Thomas Dodd, who predeceased her Feb. 14, 1976. She is survived by two sons, Perry Thomas Dodd Jr. and Johnnie Wayne Dodd, both of Danville; two daughters, Jean Marie Reynolds of Lynchburg and Vernona Joyce Reid of Glenn Allen; one sister, Mary R. LaPrade of Danville; one half brother, Johnnie Ray Reynolds of Axton; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by one son, Harry Ronald Dodd. The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Gregory officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
