    1. [S180] E-Mail, Sherrel Carter Cavedo.
I am Sherrel Carter Cavedo-- my mother and father were both Carters so I'm a mess.
I had my first cousin's YDNA done several years ago. He tested I1 which seems to be confirmed at Giles Carter as the root ancestor.
I have been researching for decades but have never made the 100% connection that satisfied me. It seems every time I get close another person refutes the Giles Harding Carter book.
Anyway, I am willing to share anything I have. I noticed your pages that the gamble folks are also mine. My great grandmother was Rebecca Anne Gamble Hodge. Her brother John Houston Gamble married Virginia Caldonia Carter who was actually my grandfathers aunt (she was the sister of my great grandfather Byron McFarland Carter. One of his sons was Eugene Miller Carter - my maternal grandfather. Linda and I are first cousins on our Dad's line-- with the elusive William Jackson Carter for whom we have spent years searching/researching.
      Thank you
How do we fit-- hope we can figure it out
