Nannie 'Polly Wells (nee Shorter) Birth: Jun. 10, 1912, Franklin County, VA Death: Dec. 17, 2002, Pittsylvania Co., VA Mrs Nannie Shorter Wells, 90, went to be with her Lord on June 10, 2002. She had been resident of Danville, VA for over 30 years. More recently she had been living at the Riverside Health Care Center in Danville. She was retired from Anderson Manufacturing Company where she was employed for a number of years. She attended Callands High School and Chatham Hall. She was a member of Moffett Memorial Baptist Church. She is predeceased by husband Samuel Thomas Wells and four brothers J B Shorter, Page Shorter, Willie Shorter and Samuel Shorter and two sisters Annie S Clifton and Allie S Rogers. Funeral services were conducted by Reverend Steve Carlton at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel in Danville. Burial was in Highland Burial Park in Danville.
