      Berryman GREEN was born on 31 January 1753 in ,Amelia, VA. Charlotte co VA Deeb Book 2, 4 Oct 1769, Thomas Green and Peter Davis of Prince Edward County do bind to Thomas Read of Charlotte County., Berryman Green, son of said Thomas Green. Berryman is to serve Read as an apprentice until 31 January 1774 during which Read agrees to teach him the business of a county court clerk. Signed Thomas Gree, Peter Davis and Thomas Read.Witnessed by Samuel Comer and Berryman Green, recorded 3 Jun 1771, p458 (An apprenticeship ended when the apprentice became 21 years of age-jek) He died on 14 September 1825 at the age of 72 in ,Halifax, VA. He was buried on 15 September 1825 at Banister Lodge Cemetery in ,Halifax, VA. The original Terry family cemetery for descendants of Nathaniel Terry, Sr. and his wife, Sarah (Royall) Terry was located on the grounds of their home, Banister Lodge. The cemetery may still exist but the land is so overgrown no one has looked for it. Berryman and his wife, Nancy, are NOT buried where the tombstones were put up by the DAR in 1939, at the Thompson family cemetery of Nancy's sister, Mary "Polly" (Terry) Thompson. The Thompson cemetery, since 1939, slowly acquired the name it is referred to by now, the Terry cemetery Green Family Mss by Emma Green Phillips (granddaughter),1915 atDAR Library,Washington. D. C;
