ALICE WALMSEY REYNOLDS: The death of Mrs. Alice Reynolds relict of the late Benjamin Reynolds, occurred on last Sunday morning, at North East. She seemed to enjoy her usual heath on Saturday. She was taken ill on Sunday morning and died at 7 o?clock upon that day. She was 76 years of age; and had been a widow 22 years. She leaves eleven children all of whom are settled in life, and occupy positions of respectability, (one of whom is Capt. John Reynolds of a New York and Baltimore steamer of the Ericsson line). She had sixty-eight grand children, 44 of whom are living; and thirty great grand children, twenty-one of whom survive her. Making a total of one hundred and eleven. She was well known and highly respected by all who knew her. Her Christian life and humble piety made her a blessing to all around her. Her funeral took place at the M.E. Church, Rev. C.F. You note that parents of Benjamin Franklin Reynolds are unknown but that DNA might help. My grandfather is a descendant, and took a DNA test before he died.
