I am one of 5 great grand-daughters of Dr. William Reynolds Lincoln. Your chart is missing his other children: Ann, Mary (our grandmother), Virginia and Donald. Charles died while still a baby. Virginia May Gibb was institutionalized some years after his death. Our grandmother Mary, (Mary Lincoln Porter), of Shaker Heights, is buried at Lake View Cemetary, Cleveland, Ohio. Her sister, Ann Lincoln Root, also of Shaker Heights, is there as well. Her sister Virginia, was married briefly to a grandson of Henry Huttleston Rogers. She remarried and moved to Florida. Donald, I think, lived on the Main Line, in Philly. One of us great-granddaughters, Julie Porter Zaffarano, lives in Philadelphia. She is an amateur playwright receiving a lot of attention. Her sister, Mary, is an artist. She lives in Athens, Georgia. My sister Susan, is a physician, and I am a librarian. We both live in Cleveland. Our sister Pamela (artist) lives in Seattle. She has two daughters. That's enough for now.

      Dear Mary Frances,

I logged in to the Reynolds Family PA to VA site, but can't find what I was trying to fill in now. So I'm going to work from Anna Reynolds, birth 7/23/1835 Rising Sun, Cecil County, Maryland - death 2/2/1908 Philadelphia, Pa.

Anna Reynolds is my great-great grandmother. She was born to Jacob Reynolds, 1791-1869 and Anna Moore 1793-1874. She married Charles Shippen Lincoln, 1827-1901, who became a federal judge, in Philadelphia. They resided at 1610 Masters Street, in what is now North Philly. The building no longer exists, but the building that housed the Unitarian Church they attended, and perhaps belonged to, is still there. It is on the next block. There is another church occupying the space. Anna and Charles had 5 children, 4 of whom reached adulthood: Henry Philip Lincoln, 1858-1939; William Reynolds Lincoln (my great grandfather) 1862-1935; Walter Rodman Lincoln, 1867-1930; Mary Agnes Lincoln, 1871-1875; George Washington Lincoln, 1873 - (I don't, at the moment, have quick access to his death date, but will find). Anna Reynolds is buried in Laurel Hill Cemetary. My cousin Julie, Philadelphia, has done extensive research into the Lincoln side of our family. and I think she has verified this.

Anna Moore (Anna Reynolds' mother), was born to Joseph Moore, 1767-1850, and Mary Mercy Cutler, 1770-1822. They were married in Chester, Pa. Joseph was born in 4/11/176Anna Moore 7, Chester County, Pennsylvania and died 12/13/1850, in West Nottingham, Cecil County, Maryland. I don't have parents for him yet. Mary Mercy Cutler was born 9/12/1770, in Chester County, Pa., to Susanna Dunn (1751-1823) and Benjamin Cutler (1740-1794), in Chester, Pa. Mary Mercy Culter died 11/7/1822 in Cecil County, Md. Hannah Cutler Moore, 1/13/1816-7/29/1893, is listed as a sibling of Anna Moore's. (?)

There is more, but, now I'll tie myself, sisters and 2 cousins to this history. William Reynolds Lincoln married Virginia May Gibb in Philadelphia, at an Episcopal Church, still standing. They moved to Cleveland, Ohio. William and 2 of his brothers became physicians. William's specialty was ear/nose/throat. He distributed liquor during Prohibition to his patients from his office in Cleveland. William and Virginia had 5 children: Donald, Anne, Mary, Virginia, and Charles. They lived at 1911 East 97th Street. Unfortunately, this house too, is no longer standing. Both brothers spent time at University Hospital in residency (?) and lived with William and Virginia. Charles died at 2 years old, due to unpasteurized milk. Virginia May Gibb never recovered this loss. She was eventually placed in the (then) Northern Ohio Lunatic Asylum and died there. My sisters and I have documentation for that. Anyway, her daughter Mary Lincoln married Herbert Wilbur Porter, of 11217 Bellflower Road(University Circle), Cleveland. They had 3 children: Janet, from Herb's first marriage (his wife died of the Spanish Flu in 1918), and Roger Lincoln 1926-2016, and Clarence Herbert.

My sisters Susan Elizabeth Porter, and Pamela Mary Porter, and I are Roger's children. Julie Zaffarano and Mary McCallister (Athens, Ga.) are Clarence's children. Clarence became "jerry" early in his life and that is how we addressed him. ...Uncle Jerry. Dad died 2 years ago, May 19, 2016. He is buried at Lakeview Cemetary, in the Porter family plots. I'll close there for now.
I saw your picture on the Reynolds family site. Very stunning. You have dark hair, like Anna Reynolds. Is that a common trait? Write when you can. I have a collection of material and may be able to answer anything left out. Hope you are well.
      Best,
      Linda (Porter)
