The dates for the Quaker Records are established by the Julian Calendar. The Quakers never changed to the Gregorian Calendar. In 1752 most western countries switched from the Julian Calendar to the Gregorian Calendar. Before 1752, each year began on March 25 and the year ran from March 25 to the Following March 24. As a result, the first month of the year was March, the second April, the ninth November, and so on. Keep this in mind when you come across a reference to the 'seventh month of 1652'. That would be September, 1652.
