      Funeral Monday for L.M. Haines
      Funeral services for L. Marshall Haines, 51, president of the Inland Gas Co. will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, 231 E. 1st South. Dean Richard W. Rowland will preside. Mr. Haines, 2337 E. 13th South, died Thursday night in a Salt Lake hospital of a rare nervous disease. The Inland Gas Co. was founded in 1944 when Mr. Haines came to Salt Lake from active service with the Air Force. The company handled the distribution of petroleum gas over parts of northern Utah. Active in the Air Force Reserve training program at Clearfield, Mr. Haines was also a member of the Utah Pistol League, director and past president of the Utah State Liquefied Petroleum Assn., Salt Lake City Committee on Foreign Relations and the University Club. A son of Warren J. and Laurine Wilson Haines, he was born May 9, 1904, in Philadelphia. He was a graduate of Princeton University. Mr. Haines was employed by Standard Oil Co. of California in San Francisco and Long Beach until 1936. At that time he was transferred to Billings, Mont. In 1941 he was called to active duty in the Air Force and served in Australia and New Guinea.
      He married Florence Story in Salt Lake City on Nov. 30 1935. She survives. Three daughters survive.

      Also surviving are one brother and one sister, John Wilson Haines, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Charles E. Iliff, Annapolis, Md.
