Bowler Cocke, s/o Richard of 'Bremo' and Ann Bowler, d/o Col Thomas Bowler, of Rappahannock. He was brother of Benjamin and Richard Cocke, of Surry. He was a member of the house of Burgesses for Henrico from 1752 to 1763. He married Elizabeth Hill, d/o John Carter. After the last marriage he lived a 'Shirley' in Charles City County and died in 1771.
The College of William and Mary Quarterly for January, 1895, p.204, is the following notice of the grave-yard at Bremo....(See Documents)

Bowler Cocke, Jr. s/o Bowler was member of the house of Burgesses for Henrico County from 1763 to 1769. He was born in 1726 and died in 1772, a few months after his father. He married Elizabeth, widow of Harry Turner of King George Co., and d/o Col Nicholas Smith.
