      Temperance Cocke3, d/o Thomas married Captain Samuel Harwood, who was the delegate from Charles City county in the House of Burgesses in 1710, '14, '23, and
      26. His son, Samuel Harwood, Jr. of Weyanoke, was sheriff of the county in 1730, '31, '37. Temperance Cocke was certainly a daughter of Thomas Cocke's first wife.
