      Mary Reynolds Brown, age 78, of Chesapeake City, MD passed away on March 29, 2005 after a courageous battle with a brain tumor.


      She was born January 10, 1927 in Chesapeake City, MD. She was the daughter of the late Harold R. and Marion Reynolds.


      She was a graduate of the Chesapeake City High School, Class of 1944. After retiring as an Instructional Assistant from the Cecil County Public Schools she volunteered at the Leeds Elementary School. She was an avid Phillies Baseball Fan and was a loving grandmother and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She was a member of Chesapeake City Canasta Card Club, Ladies Auxiliary of Chesapeake City Volunteer Fire Co and she was an avid bowler at Elk Lanes in the Wednesday Morning Ladies League and the Senior League. Mrs. Brown was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Chesapeake City where she was an elder and sang in the choir.


      She is survived by her son, Russell R. Brown, Jr. and wife, Donna of Smyrna, DE; 2 daughters, Russanne B. Foster and husband, Michael of Elkton, MD and Robin R. Brown of Chesapeake City, MD, brother, Harold R. Reynolds, Jr. of Chesapeake City, MD; 6 grandchildren, Charles, Russell & Sara Brown, Eric Wheeler, and Christopher & Hillary Foster; and a cat "Sidney"


      She is preceded in death by her husband, Russell R. Brown, Sr. who died in 1984; sister, Sara J. Cicconi.


      Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Sat at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 318 George Street, Chesapeake City, MD 21915 where friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City, MD.


      In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Chesapeake City, MD or Brain Tumor Society c/o funeral home.
