A notebook diary kept by the s/o Mary Jefferson, said to be the sister of Judith Farrar b 30 Aug 1698 [Judith Jefferson] Mary married Thomas Turpin; she was born August 1718 and married Col Thos. Turpin 4 May 1732 [age 14] MUCH INTERESTING INFORMATION [SEE Documents]
Philip Turpin and Eliz Skirm had 3 sons and two daughters: The Sons were 1)Thomas, 2) Philip [had issue; two sons, Ephraim & Philip] & Mathew:[Mathew went to sea and died Captain of a Ship in the West Indies] Daughters Elizabeth and Martha Elizabeth married Mr. Richard James who removed to N. Carolina; Martha married George Carter. The Eldest son, Thomas married Obedience Cocke 'Cocke scratched out] Trent the Widow of John Cocke, She was the daughter of Mr. Jno Branch. By Mr Cocke she had two Children, John and Martha; John Married the Widow Baxter by whom he had no issue. he died in 1759; July 15th
Martha born 1697/8 married Mr. Arthur Moseley by whom she had issue Arthur, John, Richard, Edward, Wm., Thomas & daughters Sarah & Martha; Martha died young. Sarah married ? Floyd...
