      A notebook diary kept by the s/o Mary Jefferson, said to be the sister of Judith Farrar b 30 Aug 1698 [Judith Jefferson] Mary married Thomas Turpin; she was born August 1718 and married Col Thos. Turpin 4 May 1732 [age 14] MUCH INTERESTING INFORMATION [SEE Documents]

      Dr. Philip Turpin was married to Miss Caroline Rose (Daughter of Col. Hugh Rose of Amherst) 8 Oct 1787. Col. Hugh Rose departed this life 18 Oct 1794 in the 52nd year of his age. In the different Relations of Husband, Father, Friend and Master he was equalled by few. To crown his character, he was a pious mand sincere Christian. As those we love decay, in part, we die String after String is severed from the heart. Dr. Philip Turpin was married to Mrs. Martha McCallum (relict of Danl McCallum of Osborne Dec 10 1795. She was the Daughter of John Osborne (a cousin of my Father's & of Ann Friend Daughter of Thomas Friend of Chesterfield....
