- [S42] Obituary.
DELLA LEE REYNOLDS:, 94, of North East, MD, and wintered in Everglades City, FL, died Tuesday, August 2, 2005, in the Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD. Born in Calvert, MD, on November 8, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Cloud and Flora May (Mason) England. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of the North East United Methodist Church and the Everglades City Community Church. For many years she sang alto in the church choir that was directed by her husband, Charles. She also typed the church bulletins for many years without one mistake. One of her greatest joys was to knit and crochet for her family members. Everyone loved to receive one of her beautiful sweaters, afghans, or slippers. Aunt Della also enjoyed fishing in Florida, sunbathing and working in her yard. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Reynolds; her twin sister, Ella Levredge; and her sister, Frances Lilley. She is survived by her loving, devoted niece, Fay Weaver, who cared for her in the past several years. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Aunt Della was thankful for the kind and loving care received from all the staff at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 6, 2005, at the Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. There will be a viewing on Friday, August 5, 2005, at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Rev. Donald Alford of the Union United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the North East Methodist Cemetery. Those who wish, may send flowers or contributions may be made to the Union United Methodist Church, PO Box 176, Childs, MD or the Calvert Manor Healthcare Nursing Scholarship Fund, 1881 Telegraph Road, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
