Nancy Grisham (1767-1844) -- married March 17, 1785 in Henry Co. Virginia. Migrated directly to Muhlenberg Co. KY by Dec. 1805, both are buried at Reynolds Cemetery in Muhlenberg Co. KY. Richard David Reynolds is a known Rev. War vet enlisted in Pittsylvania Co. VA, with pension papers. RD Reynolds' daughter Polly married Joseph Chatten Reynolds in Muhlenberg Co., a son of Joseph Reynolds above and veteran of War of 1812. RD Reynolds also purchased land in Henry Co. VA from George Reynolds, before George Reynolds moved to Williamson Co. TN - and sold it shortly before moving to KY. Tillman's info on Richard David Reynolds' ancestors does not look correct - instead, I suspect he is kin to the Richard Reynolds line referenced above.

His parentage has not been definitely established. Tillman's volume on the Reynolds families in America has various errors in Richard D Reynolds' line. Richard D. Her father is thought to be a John Grisham, but nothing has been proven. There were several Grisham families in Pittsylvania - Henry Cos. of VA at the time she married Richard Reynolds. John G. Reynolds Tombstone John G. Reynolds, July 25, 1790 to June 17, 1835. John G. Reynolds was a son of Richard D. Reynolds and Nancy Grisham. He died June 17, 1835 in Trigg Co., KY. John G. Reynolds married Margaret Cates May 30, 1814 in Christian Co., KY, daughter of Joshua Cates. Rosannah Reynolds Boggess Tombstone Rosannah Boggess, died July 10, 1882 in Greenville, born in Virginia in 1792. Rosannah Reynolds, daughter of Richard D. Reynolds and Nancy Grisham, married Robert Boggess. Joseph C. Reynolds Tombstone Joseph C. Reynolds, May 17, 1793 to January 13, 1868. Joseph Chatten Reynolds was the son of Joseph Reynolds and Frances [last name unknown]. He was born in Georgia (not NC as indicated in Rothert's history). The elder Joseph Reynolds [father of Joseph C.] was an early settler of Muhlenberg (1805?), but removed to Hopkins County by 1820, and then to Hickman Co., KY where he died in 1822. Joseph C. Reynolds is buried next to his wife Mary Fortney Reynolds, daughter of Richard D. Reynolds. They married January 30, 1820 in Muhlenberg. Joseph C.
