Apparently Thomas(2) Deupree and his son, Lewis(3) Deupree had no Military
service during the Revolutionary War. HOWEVER, Thoma(s)2 was issued a certificate
on his Revolutionary War Public Service Claim. (Lunenburg Co. Court Bk., pp,
9 and 25. Certf; . 1. Commissioners Bk. IV, pp. 8 and 9).
Lewis(3) Deupree (Sr.) was issued one Certificate from Halifax County, but
the reference was not given on the card (Card Pile at Virginia Archives, Revolu-
tionary War,. Public Service Claims).
