On other hand she may have already given him his due and since he had left for parts unknown, she didn't provide in will for him. She doesn't mention others sons John, Carter (who I assume died), Theodorick or daughter Jane. It is also odd that only some of Drury's children moved on with him or he with them as he was fairly elderly at the time of the 1850 census. It appears he moved approximately 1820's with some children possibly preceding him. We also know that his Drury did not follow him to TN but remained in Pittsylvania Co, so I doubt that the info on this person's death is accurate, and perhaps he is another Drury, of which there were many. BUT the names fit and it is how it is given in Dunklin's Scruggs Genealogy. Langhorne did go to TN as did Gross, so perhaps he was just mentioning Drury who remained behind in VA. Mag. of Va Genelaogy Vol 30 no 2 p 88 Also on petition in Nov 10 1780 to reject a bill forbidding the use of depreicated currency in payment o debts. The substance of the bill is that no paper currenncy shall remain a tender and pass in payment of debts nd conracts as heretofore but that all debts and all laon office tickets be paid in a much money as will pruchase such a quanitity of tobacco as the money would have pruchased a the time the contract was made or the money lent. alongside Thomas Tabb.
