Graveside Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, November 30 in Greenview Cemetery with Reverend Dave Huggins officiating. Lois was born January 12, 1914 at Blanch (named for her mother) in Caswell County, NC to the late Alexander Banks Moore and Blanche Lydia Moore. She is survived by her son, Jake A. Gardner, Jr. and daughter-in-law Robyn; grandchildren, Erica, Morgan and William; nieces and nephews. Lois' husband of 47 years, Jake A. Gardner, Sr. preceded her in death in August 1994. As a wife, mother and teacher, Lois strived to be the best she could be. We should all be inspired by her intentions, determination and integrity. The family wishes to thank Brookshire Nursing Center for their loving care and the serenity Lois was able to achieve so late in life. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 29, from 7:00 until 8:00 pm.
