    • Obituary for William Rawl Purcell

William Rawl Purcell, age 55, passed away on May 12, 2024. Rawl was born in Orlando, a son of the late James ?Coach? Purcell and Sandra Purcell. He lived in Osceola County, and graduated from Osceola High School where he was a member of the Osceola Kowboys football team. He graduated from ITT Technical College. Rawl was a self-made business man and partner of Alliance Excavating, LLC, Pipe Vision and Vac, LLC.
Rawl was a member of the Silver Spurs Riding Club and was a master hotdog cooker for Martha?s stand. His favorite membership was the Gardner Hunting Club where three generations of Purcell?s have shared their passion for hunting and camaraderie with the Gardner outdoorsmen around the fire.
He was a well-known machinist. He built high performance engines and raced cars of his own. Rawl loved fast cars and head-banging rock and roll! He was also an avid collector of knives, coins, guns, dogs and friends. He was quick to give a knife to special people in his life and he never left home without a sharp pocket knife in his pocket.
Most of all, Rawl loved his family, making people happy, living larger than life and storytelling. Many of us were a part of Rawl?s wild and crazy adventures. We were privileged to feel the thrill, excitement and share the laughter as he was creating the legendary memories he gave us.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Michelle Purcell; his children, son Carson and wife Makayla Purcell; daughter, Paris Purcell; son Ryder Purcell and Kristy Lira; his mother, Sandra Purcell; brother Jimmie and wife Tina Purcell; sister, Beth Purcell, and several nephews and a niece. Rawl was preceded in death by his father, James ?Coach? Purcell.
Rawl loved to entertain and have a good time. Please join us for more of the same along with the bigger than life memories of the man we loved at the Celebration of his life:
