    • Margaret Ann "Maggie" Kenyon-Reynolds was the daughter of James Sickles Kenyon (1817-1893) of New York and Anna Curtiss Scranton (1816-1840) of Pennsylvania. Born in Dundee, Michigan on November 20, 1839. Her mother died when she was just 8 months old. Her father returned to New York City where her he married Elizabeth Giffing in 1841. By 1860, Maggie had 3 brothers born in New York City: (1) John S.; (2) Christopher G. ; and (3) Davis G. and one sister (1) Ellen Josephine "Josie" Kenyon (born in Minnesota). By 1870 the family had return to Dundee, Monroe, Michigan where her father was a prominent merchant of dry-goods in the village of Dundee. Maggie married Kenney E. Reynolds (1837-1909) in 1854 in Monroe, MI. From this union were born 7 children: (1) Adelbert C.; (2) Elmer J.; (3) Edward R.; (4) Nellie M.; (5) Lida E.C.; (6) Royal A.; and (7) Harry W.

      Her husband, Kenney, passed away in 1909 at the age of 72. It appears that Maggie was living with her son E.J. & his family in Emmett, Idaho when she passed away.

      James Sickles Kenyon was born in New York in 1817. He was the son of James Barnes Kenyon and Margaret Sickles Adriance of New Harlem, New York. He was a dry good and general merchandise dealer. He remained in New York City until the age of 14 years when he relocated to Monroe City, MI. James married Anna Curtis Scranton (1816-7/25/1840) in February 1838. They had a daughter, Margaret Anne "Maggie", in November in 1839. Anna died in July 1840 in Tecumseh, MI. James removed with his daughter back to New York City & his family.

      James married Eliza C. Giffing (12/19/1814-5/25/1888) in 1841 in New York. Eliza was the daughter of Christopher Giffing and Catharine Van Dyke Cortelyou of New York City. Mr. Kenyon returned to Dundee in approximately 1870 where he was a prominent merchant in the village of Dundee, MI (building the variety store). James was a Republican and was involved in politics. He sold the business to his son-in-law, James S. Porter. James was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. James & Eliza had 8 children ? 4 survived to adulthood (David, Christopher, John & Josie Kenyon-Cooper).
