      in the 1870 Census for Stanly Co., NC, there are 3 generations living in the household of Jarrett Carter. His daughter Letitia (never married), his daughter in law, Mary (Pickler), wife of son, Soloman (died in 1865 in Union prison Camp and her son, Thomas Soloman Carter, but not her other son Iron/Iran, Sarah Carter his 11th child and another 8 hear old year old Sarah Carter that I do not know parents and his daughter Nancy's son, Whitson A. Marks. Parents of Durant Carter, is probably Durant.-David Carter
