Mrs. Estelle Reynolds
After an illness of consumption, covering a period of about one year, Mrs. Estelle Reynolds peacefully breathed her last Tuesday morning at 11:40 o'clock. Mrs. Reynolds, the beloved wife of Thos. Reynolds, was about thirty-two years of age, daughter of Mr. Clay, born and reared in Hickman, Ky. Eleven years ago she was united in marriage to Mr. Reynolds and moved with him to their farm near Union City. Her health failing, Mrs. Reynolds spent several months recently in Colorado, but without substantial relief returned to Union City to spend her remaining days. Although not a member of the church she long since intrusted [sic] the care of her soul and her future destiny to her Savior. She leaves a husband and two children, Lawrence and his little baby sister, Monita, to grieve the loss of a precious life, a friend indeed stronger than all other earthly ties. Her life embraced the nobler virtues and characteristics of the highest type of American womanhood, cordially and universally esteemed among the people of this city and many friends elsewhere.
Funeral services were held at the residence on First Street at 3 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Mecoy, after which the remains were conveyed to East View Cemetery and laid to rest. Our condolence is tendered the bereaved.
