      Also from Emaline Rohrer:
Old Henry Reynolds bought George Teaters place, which is in Garrard, just a short distance from the river , the first house on the right. It was alog cabin at one time and the way it is built I think it was doublwe th a dogtrot. There is a large rock chimney at each end. An ell has been added in at the back, It is two storied. Across the creek was the ferry house. Henry Reynolds opened this ferry, later run by his grandson Henry Wylie. It was also run by mg gr grandfather Woodson Burton, my grandfather Wylie B. F. Burton and his son, Woods. When I was young my uncle Joe Burton operated the farm in Garrard, so I spent many days and nights in the old House of Henry. I used to go back occasionally just to look at it., after I found out it's history.

Henry had 4 sons, Thomas Reynolds went to Madison with his children, David and Moses (never md) stayed in Garrard but eventually Henry Jr. went to Jess. He is buried on Kissing Ridge, just across the river. Henry, his wife Elizabeth McClain, David and two of his wives, and Moses are buried in a family cemetery just a short distance from the house.
