      Louella P. Tibbs Charsha, age 79, of Port Deposit, MD, died Saturday, May 23, 2009, in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Born December 28, 1929, in Thomas Run, Harford County, MD, she was a daughter of the late George McKinley Tibbs and Virginia Gullian Tibbs-Turner.

      Mrs. Charsha was a homemaker and is survived by her sons, Gary Charsha, Port Deposit, MD, Joseph Charsha, Atglen, PA, Gettis Charsha, Perryville, MD; daughter, Diane Suhobrus, Port Deposit, MD; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her parents, Mrs. Charsha was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph O. Charsha, as well as her 12 siblings.

      Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2009, 1 p.m., at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2009, 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home. The Rev. James B. Jones of Janes United Methodist Church, Rising Sun, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
