      Barbara Reynolds "Rennie" Baker, 79, of Warrenton, died Oct. 26 at home.She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Ellwood Webster Reynolds and Madeline Sager Reynolds. She grew up in Westchester, N.Y., and attended Edgewood Park Junior College. In 1947, she and her husband, Dr. James Pray Baker, were married, and after his military service and completion of medical school and training, they moved to Fauquier County in 1957. Mrs. Baker was an artist who specialized in illustrations. She was a successful artist in New York City and illustrated the Singer Sewing Book that was published in 1950, as well as working in the advertising, fashion and commercial illustrations. As a Fauquier County resident, she will be remembered for her artistic talent in decorating for Gold Cup races and events such as the Gold Cup Ball. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Pray Baker, M.D., in 1996. Survivors include four children, Lundy Baker Updike of Alexandria, James Pray Baker Jr. of Southern Pines, N.C., and Susan Baker Gehris and Sarah Baker Muncy, both of Midland; and six grandchildren. A graveside service was held Oct. 29 at Bright View Cemetery.
