Note: the tombstone appeared to display "1821" as the year of her birth; whether or not that was read correctly or the tombstone was accurate, based on the Aug 1850 census which showed to be 22 at that time, I've changed the birth date to 1828 since a Feb birth would make her 22 by August 1850. Apologies for the confusion.
The nickname "Lizzie" is taken from a letter her husband Col Peter Gustavus Evans wrote her in 1850 (the year of their marriage). Unclear if everyone called her Lizzie, or just him.
She was also the daughter of Governor John Motley Morehead.
