      Mrs. Elsie Mae Reeves Arendall of South Boston died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at The Woodview. She was born in Halifax County on July 28, 1917 and was 95 years of age. She was the daughter of the late William Thomas Reeves and Minnie Carter Reeves and was married to the late Oliver Twister Arendall.

      Mrs. Arendall was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

      Survivors include one daughter, Rickie Arendall Augeri, of Richmond; one son, William Oliver Arendall, of South Boston; one sister, Alice R. Wells, of Gibsonville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Kelly Arendall Hill and husband Jeff of South Boston, Amy Augeri and Andrew Augeri, both of Richmond; and five great-grandchildren, Abby Hill, Spencer, Ethan, Trevor and Addyson Baumbach.

      A graveside service for Mrs. Arendall will be Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Bryant officiating.

      The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of her son, 407 Valley Drive, South Boston.
