She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a charter member of Selva Marina Country Club and a long-time volunteer at the Better Business Bureau. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert (Bob) Brock. The couple, both avid golfers, lived many years in the Dominican Republic as representatives of the Bayer Corporation. During their marriage Bob and Marian traveled the world and had many friends in other countries. She is survived by her brother Ben Sproat of Columbus, Indiana and her sister Jane Dougherty of Atlanta, Georgia, a sister-in-law, Margaret Cunningham of Tuscon, Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews.
