Dear Jean, I doubt Thomas Brooks Jones, son of Thomas Jones and Mary Brooks, ever resided in Campbell County. He was born 19-Jun-1766 according to both his tombstone and his father's account book which is archived in the VA State Library. In 1830 he would be 63-64, not 50-60. There are only four children of Thomas and Mary Jones named in the account book. "History of Pittsylvania County" and the William and Mary Quarterly.
