      III. ? Robert McClanahan the Second.

      He, with others, made the first permanent settlement in Greenbrier, then a part of Botetourt
      County. As we have seen, he was captain of a company in Colonel Fleming's regiment, and was killed in battle with the Indians at Point Pleasant.
      He left two sons, Robert and John, who went to
      Kentucky. He is said to have been a physician.
