Dec. 20, 1989 Mrs. A.M. Wood Marian Honts Wood, 86, of Glen Allen died Dec 7 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Harry Funkhouser of Glasgow. Mrs.Wood was born October 26, 1903, in Botetourt County. She was married to the late Arthur M. Wood. She attended Glen Wilton Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Botetourt County chapter of the DAR and the Botetourt County Democratic Party and was a poll worker for many years. She and her husband were active in Southern States Cooperative Asociation for many years. She attended Radford College and taught school in Botetourt County, Glebe Mill, Oriskany, Lick Run, Glen Wilton and Eagle Rock. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Funkhouser are two other daughters, Mrs. Raymond McCoy of Glen Wilton and Mrs. Thomas Lomasney of Harrisonburg; two brothers Milton Honts of Beckley, W. Virginia, and Robert Honts of Bluefield, W. Virginia. Three sisters Mrs. Z,M.K. Fulton jr. of Eagle Rock, Mrs. Marshall Etzler of Dalesville and Mrs. Gratton Powell of Crewe. 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. The Rev. Robert McRae conducted the funeral Sunday December 10 at Glen Wilton Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in Wood Cemetery in Botetourt County
