Samuel Chapman was the s/o Reuben Chapman and Anne Reynolds who lived near Bowling Green, Caroline Co., VA His Grandfather, Reuben Chapman came to this country from Scotland and settled in Virginia and his son Reuben, the father of Samuel, and grandfather of the subject of this sketch was a colonel in the Colonial army. Anne Reynold, was the granddaughter of Col. Richard Miller.....
