Descendant Correspondence of Thomas Macon Armistead, of Atlanta, GA all of which verifies that John Armistead, of Cumberland Co., VA whose will was recorded 27 Mar 1769 was the s/o Frances Armistead. The line funs thus: Francis A. had John A., who married Nancy; they had (2) John A. who married Elizabeth and they had (3) John A. who married Keziah Anderson his first wife b. 19 Jun 1777. Mrs. Amy Owens, his second wife was born 8 Nov 1783.
