Stuart F. Pollard, 64, of the 3300 block of Michelle Court, died May 24, 2005, in Harbour Pointe Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Norfolk. He was born Oct. 15, 1940, in Nassawadox, Va., to Thomas Anthony Pollard and Dorothy Neas Pollard. Mr. Pollard had worked in the banking field for more than 29 years and retired in 2001. He was a member of the Churchland Baptist Church in Chesapeake and served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1970. He married Patricia Yeatts Pollard Aug. 27, 1961. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Yeatts Pollard of the home; father, Thomas Anthony "T.A." Pollard of Winston-Salem, N.C.; mother, Dorothy Neas Pollard of Winston-Salem; sister, Patricia Pollard Terry and her husband Michael F. Terry of Germanton, N.C.; niece, Jennifer Gottsegen and her husband Adam Gottsegen of Raleigh, N.C.; and a nephew, Michael Terry of Germanton, N.C. The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel, Danville, Va., by the Rev. Dr. Dan Koger. Interment will be in Highland Burial Park, Danville, Va. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. and other times with the family at 150 Parkland Drive, Danville. Memorial donations may be made to Churchland Baptist Church or the American Cancer Association.
