Wife of C. Howard Porter. Daughter of Hon. Thaddeus Banks and Delia Jane Cromwell (Reynolds) Banks.
"Death of Mrs. C. H. Porter
Died at her residence, on Walnut street, Hollidaysburg, on Saturday, the 16th March, 1895, Mrs. Kathleen Banks Porter. Mrs. Porter had been ill for the past month, and although receiving the best care of physicians and attending friends, her naturally strong and robust health succumbed to the disease which had fastened upon her. She was the eldest daughter of the late Thaddeus Banks, long an eminent lawyer of this county, and widely and favorably known through this part of the state. She was born in Hollidaysburg, March 21, 1842, and was therefore at her death almost 53 years of age. She graduated at the Birmingham seminary in 1862 and on the 7th day of June, 1864, was married to Mr. Porter-then and since well known in the business circles of this county. She was the mother of four children-Delia, who was married to H. B. Trist, and is since deceased; Anne, wife of James Milliken, of the mechanical department of the Pennsylvania Railroad company at Altoona; Marie, who is home with her father, and Junie, who died in infancy.
