John Price I, in his own words: If he could speak to us today, John Price I might describe his life as follows:
I left England 27 March 1611 on the Starr and landed of Point Comfort, Virginia, 22 May 1611. Although Governor Yeardley granted me 150 acres on Turkey Island in Henrico County 20 February 1619/20, [The Original List of Persons of Quality (Hotten), p. 266] Ann and I were living at Neck of Land in Charles City County 1624/5. [The Original List of Persons of Quality (Hotten), p. 203] The Muster of 24 January 1624/5 listed me as age 40 and Ann, 21, at Neck of Land, whose residents I represented in the Virginia House of Burgesses at Jamestown in 1625. [The General Assembly of Virginia (Leonard)]

John Price II, in his own words
If he could speak to us today, John Price II might describe his life as follows:
Not much for me to say. After my death, my wife, the daughter of John Wall, married John Rowen whose 1662 will gave to his brother Henry Rowen, ?the bringing up of the two sons of the deceased John Price and the managing of their estates and that he will hereafter, when age of discretion shall be in them, to the utmost of his ability, teach or get them to be taught to write and read, in the meanwhile to bring them up in the fear of God. I do give and bequeath unto the said two orphans, Daniel and John Price, one feather bed, rug, bolster, and blanket, the bed being that which they lye on and the rug of a blue color.? [Henrico Co. Miscellaneous Records, 1650-1807, p. 15]
John and Daniel Price sold the 150 acres that had belonged their grandfather to Benjamin Hatcher in 1677. [Henrico Co. Deeds & Wills 1677-92, p. 186]
When John and Jane Price sold 800 acres 26 Jan. 1693/4, the deed described the land as having belonged to John Wall, grandfather of John Price. [Charles City Co. Wills & Deeds 1692, p. 182]

      John Wall
John?s father-in-law John Wall married Elizabeth Clay, the widow of John Clay, who was undoubtedly not the mother of his children. Wall, a long-time Clay neighbor, had 1,791 acres next to John Clay in Sept. 1629. [Patent Bk. 1, p. 888] Wall died before 4 Feb. 1664/5, when his widow presented his will and by Feb. 1665/6, Charles City records mention John Tate ?who married the relict of Capt. Jno. Wall.? [Charles City Co. Deeds, Wills, and Order Bk. 1655-65, pp. 531, 620]
Before I died in 1628, Ann and I had three children who were mentioned in any records, of whom only John had heirs, to my knowledge.
