      The Vestry minutes also contain the following processioning order:
      16 Feb 1763
      Walters Hogan & Cornelius to Procession.
      Pursuant to an order of the County Court of Halifax bearing date the 18th day of Augt. last past for this vestery to appoint Processioners according to law where upon it is ordered that Robert Walters, Thomas Walters, James Hogan & William Cornelius Procession all the Pattent Land in the following bounds. Beginning at Sandy Creek bridge thence up the Creek to Harriss Road down the River to the Cuntry [county] line thence down the line Cain Creek thence up Cain Creek to Wynne Road thence down the Road to Terrys Ferry Road thence along the same to the Beginning place and that they begin the said work by the last day of December & Return to the Vestery by the last day of March Ensuing an account of every persons land they shall procession and the Persons present at the same and what land in the said Bounds they failed to procession & the reason of such failure.

      Will: To my beloved wife Lucy Walters the landand plantation whereon I now live and negroes: Hector, Sam, Bett and Fillis, and half the furniture and stock except that which will hereinafterbe given during her natural life or widowhood.
      Will: To my son Clement Walters negro Cate. To my son William Walters the land and plantation that joins Charles Cooley, and negro Anthony. To my son Abraham Walters negro Daniel, horse, saddle and after the decease of my wife the land and plantation where I now live. To my grandson, John Walters, son and heir of my son Thomas Walters, deceased, 200 acres and the plantation that joins McMurrey,it being the land where the said Thomas, dec'd, formerly lived and a horse. Also the bond that is against me for his fathers effects. To my daughter Margaret Walters a negro Pat, also a horse and saddle and one third part of the pewter, a bed, furniture, cow and calf, and a ten pound note on Walter Gooding.

      It appears that negro Daniel, bequested to my son Abraham Walters is at the point of death, should this happen, Abraham isto have the first child of either Betty or Fillis. 18 Feb. 1796

      Walters/Ball - William Walters b. 1775, s/o Thomas and Lucy Clement [not Walker]married Elizabeth Ball in Pittsylvania Co., in 1804 and moved to Henry Co., TN His father, Thomas was b. in Scotland in 1732. Margaret Walters (1769) md George Russell in 1796, but he died soon after. In 1821 she married Widower William Dodson, but he died a few weeks later. She then joined the Walters family when they went to TN that year. Another daughter, Jane md. Richard Woodson in TN and moved to Hutchingson, KS where she died in 1879.
      William Walters, s/o Wm and Eliz. (b. 1813) in Pittsylvania Co. went to TN with his father, but later went to Texas where he died in Gregg Co.
      William Walters (b. 1794, a s/o Obadiah Walters of Pittsylvania Co., m. Aigail Magby in 1818 and went to Arkansas.
      Ezra Walters also went to AK, where he died in c 1841. Ezra's daughter, Sally Evans disposed of his land in Pitts. Co., selling it to Spiers Walters.

      This information is suspect because of the Lucy Walker info. She is Lucy Clement.
