The Orphans of Charles Logan mentioned are Harriet , Maria , Julia & Franklin Logan . The Bond is for $ 40,000. Samuel Pleasants & James Pleasants , bond of as Executors of Charles Logan , dec'd. estate . Bond for $ 20,000.       Note : I beleive their is probably a few to many dollar figures in this amount for that Time period more like $ 4,000.00 and $ 2,000.00 was probably the Amount ,but The above dollar figure was written in the book.
      Robert C. Pleasants, Will of, ?I make a will, not that I have anything to will, but as it is the form of the country - as it consists only of one horse. It is my wish that Mr. Shield Saunders be paid for his trouble whilst I am sick here. I bequeath my miniature to my niece Susannah Webster. I will the gold Trinket marked C. L. to be returned to Mrs. Sarah Carter. My nail manufactory which I expect my executor will do something handsome with by selling it to some man of speculation. I think two hundred dollars. I appoint Wm. A. Cocke my executor, revoking all other wills. Robert C. __X__ Pleasants. Witnesses: Saml. Winston, Wm. Carter.
      At a Court held for Powhatan County the 18 day of January 1809. The last will and testament of Robert C. Pleasants decd. was presented in Court and proved by the oath of William Carter a subscribing witness thereto, and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of Isaac W. Pleasants certificate is granted him for obtaining letters of administration with the will annexed on the estate of the said deceased he having made oath and entered into security, conditioned as the law directs. It appearing that William a. Cocke the executor appointed by said will has refused to qualify. Jan. 18, 1809. W. B. 3, p. 285.
