His will is dated 24 Jun 1775 and recorded in Amelia Co., VA, WB 2, p. 176. His personal property was appraised 10 May 1776 (Amelia Co., VA, WB 2, p. 194). David's will names his children: Thomas, Stephen, William, John, Roger, and Mary Morgan. He also names grandchildren William and Joannah Reeves. Son Roger was named his executor. His wife was not named. Other sources record that David's daughter Mary married Samuel Morgan and daughter Eleanor married Thomas Reeves. David's son Roger married Ann Hatchett, daughter of William Hatchett and Margaret Remay. Some of their descendants lived in Caswell Co., NC (see listing under Roger Neal and Anne Hatchett). Roger's will, dated 16 Mar 1785 is recorded in Amelia Co., VA, WB 3, p. 331. He died prior to 22 Sep 1785, the date his executors sold his plantation. He named 6 children: David, Thomas, John, Archer, Abraham, and Tabitha. It was his will that all his land be sold and the money be equally divided between his 2 youngest sons, Archibald and Abraham; that the remainder of his estate be sold and the money applied to the schooling of his sons John, Archibald and Abraham.
