Aug. 10. 1724 James Carter Mary Brent, d/o Hugh and Mary Swan, Lancaster County, Virginia Hugh2 Brent II (Hugh1)7,8,9 was born Abt. 1660 in Lancaster CO, VA10, and died 1716 in Lancaster CO, VA11. He married Katherine Swan Bef. 1680 in Lancaster CO, VA. She died Unknown. Notes for Hugh Brent II: He was also of Lancaster County, Virginia. There was a bond executed to this Hugh by his father, February 12, 1704. He himself executed a deed to his daughter, Mary Brent, September 12, 1 710. And the inventory of his estate is recorded October 25, 1713, he evidently having died intestate. After his death, his son, Hugh, who is described as the "Son and heir of Hugh Brent, deceased" executes a deed to William Brent, second son of said Hugh Brent, deceased. This was June 8, 1719.
