  [S103] Jodi Davis Jackson Research. Martha Ann Jackson is the daughter of James Samuel Jackson and Judith Emmerson. Judith Emmerson is the daughter of John Emmerson. Judith Emmerson DOB of 1787 is from an entry in the LDS IGI. She was deceased by Jan 1833 when James Jackson married a second time and two of her younger children were in the household of her sister and brother-in-law Anne Emmerson Jackson and Levi Jackson. John Emmerson mentioned in his fathers's Will. (Pittsylvania Deeds and Wills, book 11, page 496) leaves John and Nancy (land where he now lives) John Emmerson married Martha Jackson. Martha was called Patsy. Her DOB from the 1850 Census gives her age as 67, thus, born about 1783. Death record: Mike K. Williams, "Pittsylvania Co., VA, Births & Deaths", 1998, gives her birth year as 1783, death 20 Sep 1870, husband John Emmerson, information provided by Ambrose Jackson, her nephew.
