No mention has yet been found of John PIGGOTT in American Quaker records prior to his 1st marriage, at Concord Monthly Meeting, Chester Co, PA, 13 [2 Mo] Apr 1705, to Rebecca HARDIMAN (widow of Abraham HARDIMAN & before him of John WILSFORD, and daughter of Henry BAKER [his memorial 65136085] by Margaret HARDIMAN). John & Rebecca moved to Duck Creek, Kent Co, DE, before 18 Mar 1709; they had issue: 1. Mary PIGGOTT, b New Garden MM, 2 [6 Mo] Aug 1706; poss marr WILLIAMS. 2. Rebecca PIGGOTT, b New Garden, 1 [10 Mo] Dec 1707. 3. Hannah PIGGOTT, b New Garden, 14 [8 Mo] Oct 1709; marr Samuel WHITE. 4. (son), died in infancy.
