Obituary L. L. Pope, 90, 210 Forrest Court, Rockmart, died in a Rockmart hospital Thursday morning following an extended illness. Pope was born in Gwinnett Co., on 7 Oct 1895. He was a well known evangelist who conducted many revivals in the Floyd County area. A member of the Hopewell Baptist Church Pope was active in church and civic work prior to his illness. Survivors include five daughters; Mrs. Katie Davenport, Silver Creek, Mrs. Mildred Deems, Aragon, Mrs. Virginia Gore, Rockmart, and Mrs. Dorothy Harris, Smyrna and Mrs. Essileen Hooper, Rockmart; Five sons, Luther Pope, Rockmart, Hughie Pope, Ringgold, Bill Carver, Mableton, Alvin Pope, Rockmart and Frank Pope, Washington, DC...
